ariff will probably be forever known as mok. calling him ariff will take sometime for him to show any reaction, but calling out 'mok' will get a response from him.
- he is extra manja, at home and in school;
- everybody calls out to him...what is this thing that he has?
- he's still smelly;
- he's got good set of 15 teeth, although its not so nicely put (braces coming up for ariff);
- ariff loves to dance - his favourite song at the moment is mickey mouse's hot dog;
- he's lost some weight but is still pudgy at his legs;
- he would show off his tummy when asked 'where's baby?';
- ariff understands a lot of words and is starting to reply;
- he can say 'nak', 'tak nak', 'abam', 'dog';
- he loves to immitate and is very expressive;
- he remembers a lot of things and would give wonderful responses;
- he loves to watch animals and would stand near the window to watch dog and birds complete with sound effects;
- he hates bug and would have no mercy squashing them;
- he loves food - pasta, rice, bread, cookies, cakes, you name it;
- ariff is a biter, if he's angry the first thing he would do is open his mouth to bite (jaws);
- he's loves to merajuk. sometimes we scold him for no reason just to see him all teary;
- ariff's very affectionate and loves a cuddle and a kiss.

developments 0ariff turns 8 months today. soon he will hit his one-year mark. time flies so fast.
now he's able to lift himself onto his knees. he's slowly pulling himself up and looking at the tv at eye level, rummaging the 2nd shelve, messing with mummy's hair and playing with the top part of the imaginarium...
because of that, hubby lowered his cot to the lowest level. i woke up one day to see him holding on to the railings, while on his knees. scary thoughts ran through my mind...
he's slowly drinking less milk, which is super. when he wakes up, he doesnt scream out for milk like asyraf did. he can wait about an hour for his bath and a bit of playtime, then he's have his breakfast of nestum (or porridge when he's at school). after that he doesnt want the bottle and prefers playing. before his nap, i'd give him a 5oz bottle. then maybe a couple more bottles in the afternoon and evening. he even refuses the bottle before he sleeps (and doesnt wake up for feed). another amir, i hope...which means easy to stop milk. alhamdulillah...
he eats a lot! at home he eats 5 spoons on nestum, 3 times a day. at school he eats rice porridge.
he's an excellent crawler now. he crawls everywhere and follows his 2 brothers from one room to another.
he hates being alone and would scream at the sight of someone leaving the room. he would also lift up his hands (although more to the sides than towards someone) when he sees he's about to be carried.
ariff's got a really bad flu now. its been a week since he got it and the skin on his nose is all dry and cracked. poor baby.

developments 0ariff has officially passed the "young baby" stage and is now in the "older baby" stage.
he's finally grown his first 2 teeth. i noticed them on 1 may when we were in bukit tinggi. the right tooth has cut the gums while the left is visible and about to cut the gums. i think he's about the same age as asyraf when asyraf got his teeth.
he's eating a lot. i was just told by his teacher that he eats 17 spoons on nestum at school. at home we only give 5 spoons, about 2 spoons for breakfast and 3 for dinner. in between he drinks milk. guess that's why he's as big as he is.
he's drinking enfapro now, not enfalac anymore.
he's shuffling to his heart's content. he shuffles everywhere and picks up everything in his way.
ariff is very determined. its shown on his face when he sees something he wants and would pull his body towards it. he ignores everything around him and focuses on what he wants.
he's starting to play with his brothers. when amir & asyraf are on the floor together, he wants to jump in and join them.
he's starting to not take naps during the day. he sleep through the night but would awaken at around 3am calling to be lifted. he usually would fall asleep after i bring him over to our bed and sleep next to him. so manja...

developments 0ariff hit the half year mark. we should be doing a revise forecast at this stage :)
this boy is such a little mok mok. he eats a lot, he drinks a lot. but he's sleeping less. because he's hungry all the time he gets up for night feeds now. usually he would want a bottle before he sleeps around 10pm. if he misses that feed, he would get up at 1130pm. that is a 7oz bottle. then another feed and a change at 4am. not much this time, just a 5oz bottle. god he drinks a lot!
he's slowly lifting his bum and carrying his chest. it will be crawling phase soon enough.
he's shifted backwards and was dangling off the bed a couple of nights ago.
he's never short of a smile every morning. night time he can drift off to bed on his own on a good night. if he's not in a good mood he requires cuddling and a bit of bouncing.
he had a slight moody phase the past week. i've been checking his gums...no visible white signs yet to blame it on teething.
he loves his exersaucer and is very alert of the toys on it. he's like amir when it comes to this. asyraf wasnt in tune with the exersaucer as much.
he's always watching both brothers. cant wait to see the three of them interact.
he's an angel in the car. sleeps and keeps to himself. unless the bored amir decides to disturb him.
he's such a huggable bouncing ball, who's grown quite tall.

developments 0my baby boy is now 5 months. such a big boy (literally) and such a nice baby. at 5 months, ariff can
- roll over and roll back and roll over again;
- eat, although he seems to only want porridge. none of them nestum and gerber. ariff...u know mummy's lazy;
- recognise his bottle;
- finish the full 90z bottle;
- scream the house down and kick his cot/playpen when he's hungry;
- suck his thumb away;
- recognise his parents and brothers;
- focus on people walking down the stairs;
- fit into size L diapers (huggies has got new size Ls...no wonder its been out of stock for ages).
ariff now loves to sit up in his bath, he hates being laid down when taking his bath. he's slowly outgrowing his car seat, it could be time to transfer him to asyraf's seat or get a new one for him (oh the latter is so tempting). he now wears clothes for 6-12 months old. he's gotten almost all of his primary jabs (1 more immunisation visit to go - for both the 4th hepatitis B jab and his 3rd pneumococcal jab). alhamdulillah he's only been sick twice in his five months, although both times require the nebuliser.
at his last pead visit, ariff was 6.7kg heavy and 64cm tall.

visit to the doctor
developments 1took ariff for his dual triple antigen+polio+hib and pneumococcal jab today. alhamdulillah, after asyraf's 'macam-macam ada' penyakit, ariff is fine and healthy, insyaallah.
he now weighs a wonderful 5.4kg and is so chubby and round. he didnt cry much when he was shot but he did scream outloud as the doctor injected him. other than that, it was a good visit.
the doctor gave him paracetamol in case he falls sick from the jabs.
before we went to the hospital, i put ariff on the bed with amir. ever since i rid ariff of his mittens, he's started to suck his fingers. amir loved watching that, probably because he sucks his fingers as well. ariff wore the t-shirt tiza bought for asyraf from holland. tiza...how can you think asyraf would fit the t-shirt, ariff ngam-ngam je...
